Antique Asian four-panel black lacquer screen. Carved, hand-painted scenes on each panel. Full color on the front, gold line painting on the back.
Based on the hinges, this piece dates into the 1800s.
Excellent antique condition. Some chips and cracking, shown in photos. Hinges are missing on some pieces, so not all the panels connect which means it isn't free-standing. We've displayed it simply by leaning it against a wall and that has looked great. Overall, it is a truly gorgeous piece.
